Latest booze news today from Lloret is that as from Sunday 29th January the Sportsman Pub has closed until March. As yet I cant give you any reopening date, the situation will be reviewed at a later date.

Yates Hard Rock

For all lovers of heavy rock music Simon (from Gerry's Bar) and his pals - collectively known as 'Copache' will be playing live at Yates in Lloret on Saturday 11th February. 11pm - 2am.

Burns Night in Rabbies

It was quite a busy day in Rabbies bar yesterday!

First of all at lunch time the local lads were there after their golf tournament at Papalus...congratulations to Andy for his win!

Then later that evening as always on 25th Jan for Burns night,  a very traditional haggis, neeps and tatties Burns supper was served! Thanks to all at Rabbies, Hammy, Linda and Gary for this great night...and also to the dinner ladies for their help!

White Horse Pub Lloret de Mar

I have news about Haken & Cathrine who ran the White Horse in  Lloret. As many of you know they closed the bar before Christmas to take some time out to decide what they wanted to do, either open another bar in the Peniscola region of Spain  or stay in Lloret. They've had a trip down there but it seems that its not  worth trying with another business as its also very quiet down there as it is here at the moment. So as it stands now they have returned to Lloret but sadly may be going back to Sweden. It will be a shame for all their friends in Lloret to lose them as they are a lovely couple....we all wish them success in whatever they choose to do!

El Pub in Lloret

El Pub in Fenals will be closed for the next 3 weeks as from today 19th Jan while Flick & Su take a well earned holiday break after their busy year, I hope they have a fantastic time as they well deserve it!

Several other bars in Lloret which are normally open at this time of year are also closed, so more about these later.

Its Burns night in Rabbies Bar on 25th Jan,  your all welcome to come and celebrate this very important day in the Scottish calendar.

El Torito Lloret

For the first time in 20 yrs or more the El Torito bodega (next to the Aztek disco and Yates) which is very popular with British and European tourist's has closed for a winter break.
There soon wont be any where for holidaymakers to get a drink if it carries on like this, but I have heard the bar will resume normal service in March!

Lloret de Mar Bravehearts News.

Another British bar in Lloret has sadly shut down this winter, Braveheart's which has been run by Ron & Cath for the last 3 yrs or so closed after the Christmas day lunch. There have been inquiries about the bar from other interested parties, so all being well it shouldn't be too long before we see the bar reopen in time for the new 2012 summer season.
