Gerry's Bar - the end of an era!

 Gerry's Bar as we all knew it has sadly came to an end yesterday with friends invited to come and say goodbye to the bar in the best way possible....plenty of loud music and one of their famous BBQ's!

 Opened in 1974 the bar has been everyone's favourite local in Lloret, we all look back to the good times with Gerry & Julie with fond affection along with Colin &Angie and all the staff who have worked there over the years. Julie and Gerry's son Simon, Colin, Angie and Ian have been keeping the bar open since Gerry & Julie passed away, but now Simon has decided to give up the bar and concentrate on other things. The bar will be closed for the next 2 weeks or so for some refurbishment but will then reopen under new management.

As from 21st until the 31st December Gerry's will be open daily from 6pm till late.

Gerry's Bar are now reducing their opening times for the winter. As usual at this time of year the bar will  only open Fridays and Saturdays 6pm till 3am. Simon and Ian have had a very busy year and now need to take time out through the week to recharge their batteries and brain cells!

Yates Hard Rock Bar

Yates Hard Rock bar will be celebrating their 40th anniversary this year in style on Friday 12th October with live music from 'Dr Crue' and on the 20th October 'Copache'  (with Simon from Gerry's Bar)
Free entrance on both nights.

Gerry's Bar, it's Ian's birthday!!

Ian will be celebrating his big 'four O' in Gerry's tomorrow starting at about 3pm, everybody is welcome!

As from this week end Gerrys Bar will be open everyday throughout the summer. Gerry's have a great beer garden out through the back of the bar which is shaded by trees - a great place to escape to from the hot summer sun!

Todays Events

Three great events are taking place in Lloret tonight 11th Feb

The first I can tell you about is the 'School Party' at Moby's, so dig out your uniform and and get down there.

Then for all Jazz lovers there is live music at 11pm Arrieta 32, Arrieta 32 is a very classy bar opposite the sea front in Lloret, and just a reminder about the  third event, this is the local band 'Copache' featuring Simon from 'Gerry's Bar' playing at 10.30 at Yates Hard Rock.

 What's Open Just Now?

As usual at this time of year many of the British bars in Lloret are taking a long winter break, or open less hours. If you have a holiday planned at this resort within the next few weeks then these are the British bars where you can get away from your hotel for a while and find a nice friendly atmosphere.
In Lloret town centre is Gerry's Bar, owned and run by Simon. This is a large comfortable bar with pool table & darts - closed through the week but open Friday & Saturday from 6pm until the early hours.
Between Lloret and Fenals near the Samba hotel is Rabbie's Bar, a friendly bar with pool table, darts and pub grub menu. This large welcoming bar is run by Linda & Gary - open everyday, Mon to Fri from 4pm until late, Sat & Sun open 1pm until late.
From there just down the hill into Fenals you have Buzzby's, near to the Royal Beach, Oasis Park and Aquarium hotels. Owner John is very welcoming and in the process of making big changes to this bar from when he took it over last year. Buzzby's is closed on Mondays but open Tues - Fri from 6pm until 3am, Sat & Sun open 1pm - 3am.

Other bars will shortly be opening for the new 2012 season, so watch this space for latest booze news!
