White Horse Pub Lloret de Mar

I have news about Haken & Cathrine who ran the White Horse in  Lloret. As many of you know they closed the bar before Christmas to take some time out to decide what they wanted to do, either open another bar in the Peniscola region of Spain  or stay in Lloret. They've had a trip down there but it seems that its not  worth trying with another business as its also very quiet down there as it is here at the moment. So as it stands now they have returned to Lloret but sadly may be going back to Sweden. It will be a shame for all their friends in Lloret to lose them as they are a lovely couple....we all wish them success in whatever they choose to do!

Pub news of the week -

 Sadly this year we have seen the closure of 2 of the most well known bars in Lloret, the first to close its doors earlier this year was the Seven Seas run by Willie, and just last month Haken & Cathrine have also closed the doors on the White Horse. They have gone back to Sweden until Christmas but will be back here for Christmas and the New Year after which they intend to take a trip further down the coast to the Peniscola area of Spain to look at possibilities of opening a bar there...so good luck to them l hope they do well in whatever they do. I'm pleased to say we did manage to find a good home for their family of budgies before they left!
