Wednesday night is 'curry night' at Buzzby's Bar till further notice, curry and a pint for €6.50. Choice of four curries with either white or pilau rice and nan bread.

Robin Hood pub in Fenals

This very popular bar in Fenals, Lloret de Mar which has been closed for quite a few months now still remains closed with no sign of opening any time in the near future. The Robin Hood was closed down last year owing to it needing a massive refurbishment to bring it upto legal requirements. After an inspection of the premises it was found that the ceiling height was too low so to remedy this the floor would have to be lowered and a fire escape would also have to be fitted. Work was started, but nothing has been done since well before Christmas. In Lloret we are now hearing that the pub may not open again owing to the huge costs of the necessary work...this will be a big blow for many of their regular customers which used to come and stay at the Royal Beach hotel just across the road!

Carnival Time in Lloret

This week end is Carnival time in Lloret when we see not only the parades and events out on the streets but also some of the bars and nightclubs hold special party nights. This weekend we can see 2 carnival parades through the streets of Lloret, the first takes place tomorrow Saturday 18th at 4pm, and later that evening at the Evenia Olympic Resort hotel everyone is welcome to join their special carnival party. St Trop are starting off their carnival celebrations at 12.30am, while Arrieta 32 begin their party at 10pm....everyone will be expected to be wearing their very best fancy dress costumes!

Three great events are taking place in Lloret tonight 11th Feb

The first I can tell you about is the 'School Party' at Moby's, so dig out your uniform and and get down there.

Then for all Jazz lovers there is live music at 11pm Arrieta 32, Arrieta 32 is a very classy bar opposite the sea front in Lloret, and just a reminder about the  third event, this is the local band 'Copache' featuring Simon from 'Gerry's Bar' playing at 10.30 at Yates Hard Rock.

 

El Pub back from Mexico!

Flick and Su are now back from their well deserved holiday and are raring to get back to work with batteries full recharged! They will re-open El Pub on Thursday 9th Feb at 6pm, then from Friday 10th will revert back to their original opening hours 1pm-late daily.

Buzzby's Bar has a new look!

Buzzby's Bar in Fenals has a brand new look after John (along with a little help from his friends) has recently been hard at work decorating and giving the bar a big make-over!

Gone has the dark blue ceiling, its now looking much brighter after being painted white, and the walls have a new brightly painted designer look. The dark wood canopy over the bar has been removed. 

Four large screen TVs are now in place for live sports etc, and John has a great selection of bar games such as draughts, dominos, chess, trivial pursuit and cards.

British bars in Lloret de Mar

 What's Open Just Now?

As usual at this time of year many of the British bars in Lloret are taking a long winter break, or open less hours. If you have a holiday planned at this resort within the next few weeks then these are the British bars where you can get away from your hotel for a while and find a nice friendly atmosphere.
In Lloret town centre is Gerry's Bar, owned and run by Simon. This is a large comfortable bar with pool table & darts - closed through the week but open Friday & Saturday from 6pm until the early hours.
Between Lloret and Fenals near the Samba hotel is Rabbie's Bar, a friendly bar with pool table, darts and pub grub menu. This large welcoming bar is run by Linda & Gary - open everyday, Mon to Fri from 4pm until late, Sat & Sun open 1pm until late.
From there just down the hill into Fenals you have Buzzby's, near to the Royal Beach, Oasis Park and Aquarium hotels. Owner John is very welcoming and in the process of making big changes to this bar from when he took it over last year. Buzzby's is closed on Mondays but open Tues - Fri from 6pm until 3am, Sat & Sun open 1pm - 3am.

Other bars will shortly be opening for the new 2012 season, so watch this space for latest booze news!
