Gerry's Bar - the end of an era!

 Gerry's Bar as we all knew it has sadly came to an end yesterday with friends invited to come and say goodbye to the bar in the best way possible....plenty of loud music and one of their famous BBQ's!

 Opened in 1974 the bar has been everyone's favourite local in Lloret, we all look back to the good times with Gerry & Julie with fond affection along with Colin &Angie and all the staff who have worked there over the years. Julie and Gerry's son Simon, Colin, Angie and Ian have been keeping the bar open since Gerry & Julie passed away, but now Simon has decided to give up the bar and concentrate on other things. The bar will be closed for the next 2 weeks or so for some refurbishment but will then reopen under new management.

Lloret de Mar bars

Easter is almost here again and that means that Lloret de Mar's night life will soon be back in full swing! The clubs and bars which have been closed for the winter are now getting ready to to re open. British bars Rob Roy and Funky Monkey will be open the week before Easter....those bars which have only been open for the weekends will again be open on a daily basis. Lets hope they all have a successful summer as we don't want to lose any more bars!

Bravehearts is now Desperados!

Out with the old name and in with the new name, Bravehearts pub has a new name and a new look for 2013. Paul will be opening tomorrow 8th March at 7pm...photos later!

Sportsman Pub Lloret

I've just heard today that another bar in Lloret will sadly close. The Sportsman will not be opening this year - unless anyone can be found to take it on! Lets hope someone can found, this will be a sad loss to Lloret.

Lloret de Mar Bars

Cala Banys will reopen Tuesday 8th March at 10am for the 2013 season. If the good weather keeps up then we will probably have a walk over there for a relaxing couple of glasses of wine during the afternoon!
